Billion Dollar Law Firms

Among all law firms across the country, a small percentage are truly elite in their track record of helping clients through their personal injury or other civil legal journey. Only a handful of U.S. plaintiff law firms have reached the milestone of verdicts and settlements of one billion dollars cumulatively for their clients.

In 2023, attorney Richard Harris founded Billion Dollar Law Firms to honor those exceptional firms that have reached the billion-dollar recovery threshold and beyond. Firms applying for membership go through a simple vetting process to document their qualifications.

Billion Dollar Law Firms is the natural next step for lawyers and law firms that have achieved million and multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts, with minimum cumulative total recoveries of one billion dollars or more. It is made up of the most prestigious civil litigators in the United States.

The organization was created to serve two essential purposes. First, to recognize the skills, experience and accomplishments of trial lawyers who have achieved this rare milestone. Second, to provide a national network of experienced colleagues, to facilitate information exchange, local assistance and case referrals. Billion Dollar Law Firms solidifies the place of these high achieving firms in the legal landscape and ensures the continued advancement of plaintiff law.
Acceptance into Billion Dollar Law Firms’ membership begins with an application to be reviewed by the membership committee. The committee will review all information, financial disclosures, and verdict and settlement information to confirm eligibility. More information about the application process can be found on the membership application page.
